Beautiful Little Things

Sometimes you find the most beautiful little things in the most unexpected places.  This is why I drive all over the state and region to stand in line at sales in church basements at this time of year.  You might find something like ten spools of the most beautiful vintage seam binding for $.25 each.  Yup, twenty five cents each.  I love to use vintage binding and trims to finish my packages of jewelry before I ship them to the buyer.  At 100 yards each, these spools will keep my packages looking beautiful for a long, long, time...

  1. What a great find! You know that I have collected seam binding for years to use as ribbon on packages. I have found that some of the older ones have fantastic colors that have muted over time plus I like the idea of "recycling" it for another use other than it was made for.

  2. These are a little "bright" for me! They are beautiful gem tones though...and yes, I am being a complete copy-cat! :-)

  3. Swoon; Is it just me or is the shot of the side of the spools reminiscent of old election day hats? Sigh... it's probably just me (who is sick of merchandising for Christmas already...) They're giving me a wicked urge to whip up a 4th of July display, LOL. Great find!

  4. I hear you on the hats! (and longing for July 4th although it is not even Thanksgiving yet) Don't you miss being a kid when OTHER people made the holidays magical? It is a LOT of work!
